The Fifth International Congress of Belarusian Studies took place on 2-4 October 2015 in Kaunas. Please see some results of the poll conducted among its participants.
The overall number of participants reached 496 (420 in 2014). The number was calculated according to the registration lists and other documents and materials.
There were 399 participants who presented papers, 23 media representatives, 56 guests and 11 volunteers.
The structure of participants with papers according to a number of criteria:
From Belarus – 61,4%, from abroad – 38,6%.
Working place: Belarusian universities (34,8%), foreign universities, (32,1%), NGOs (13,5%), museums and libraries, (9,27%), EHU (1,5%).
Academic degree: Doctors of Science and Dr. Hab. (11,53%); Candidates of Science and PhD (41,4%), PhD students (2,8%), masters (35,6%)
Male (54%), Female (46%)
Regional spread of Belarusians (245 people): Minsk (76,7%), Hrodna (6,9%), Polack (4,9%), Mahilioŭ (2,45%), Homiel (2,04%), Viciebsk (1,63%), Brest (1,63%), other places (3,6%).
Foreigners (154 people from 18 countries). Poland (35%), Ukraine (20%), Russia (15%), Lithuania (10%), USA (3%), Germany (2,5%), other countries (1-3 participants each).
